About Fowler, NY
The Town of Fowler began in 1816 and was named for Theodosius Fowler, (1753-1841) a local landowner, who had served as a Captain in the American Revolution.

Fowler is located in southwest St. Lawrence County and borders the towns of Rossie, Gouverneur, Hermon, Edwards, Pitcairn, and Antwerp.
​
The Oswegatchie River's main and west branches flow through Fowler with scenic portages. The town is a beautiful setting for the Gouverneur Country Club and home to the Sylvia Lake community.

Town of Fowler - US Post Office
A highlight of a trip to our Hailesboro Post Office are the beautiful flowers that welcome patrons. They were planted and are maintained by Fowler resident, Linda Bigarel. Thank you, Linda, for your efforts. For those of us who visit the 13645 Post Office, you brighten our day.

The residents of Fowler love their Post Office and have fought to keep the Hailesboro office open. It serves the entire community of both permanent and seasonal residents of Fowler. Thank you to our Hailesboro Post Office manager, Ginnie Nichols and all the others who staff the office.​
